There are many group or 1:1 sewing classes at Top Notch but if you would like to learn to sew, the Sewing Machine Drivers License is the place to start! This class can be done in a small group or a 1:1 session. You will learn the basics of using a sewing machine including winding a bobbin and threading the machine. Please see the separate booking pages for the group class, the adults 1:1 and the kids 1:1 class. The group class is for all-ages, with a maximum of 4 students.

Any children's sewing classes are suitable from 8yrs upwards and

kids get a discount off any 1:1 classes listed on my website.

The last Sewing Skills class was about sewing jersey fabrics!

The next skills class where you can learn about pattern matching  and sewing fabric with a nap, is on 17 May. Beginners are welcome.

The Sewing Skills class is held once a month and students

practice various skills and take their samples home.

Fabric is included and samples are cut out, ready to sew.

There are separate Saturday Sewing clubs every month for adults, primary aged children, and teens, with a morning or afternoon class available. Students sew something to take home and learn different skills each month! In April they made t-shirts and in May we are sewing a waterproof lunchbox! Each student gets a  sewing pattern, and fabric is included for the class. Projects are usually cut and ready for students to sew. Click the following link for the schedule or to book: adults class AM or PM  ;

primary age class AM or PM ; or teens class AM or PM.

If you enjoy sewing and chatting with like-minded people, there is a free Sewing Social once a month on Friday mornings. Anyone is welcome but space is limited, so please pre-book your place. Bring along your sewing projects for advice, chat and free use of a sewing machine. Tea and coffee is included and you can leave a donation if you wish. The recent contributions went to the Bromley Down Syndrome Support Group (Bromley DSSG), Thank You!!
