1:1 class to sew a shirring top or dress of your design.
Service Description
This is a 1:1 class to cut and sew a shirring and elasticated top or dress. The session is 5 hours with a possible 30min buffer if needed. SUITABLE FOR: Adults and teens. Confident beginners to more advanced sewers; you must be able to use a sewing machine. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: You will learn to lay and cut your fabric. You will learn to sew shirring then sew a simple shirring design with or without sleeves. WHAT IS INCLUDED: Personalised sewing pattern. Shirring elastic and thread. Use of a Janome sewing machine. Hot and cold drinks included. I will need your bust measurement or UK top size to draft your pattern. WHAT TO BRING: Please bring suitable fabric, how much to bring depends on the style and length of garment you want to make, so I will get in touch after booking. Shirring works best on lightweight woven fabric like cotton, lawn, viscose etc. You can bring your own sewing machine of you have prefer. You can bring a snack for a half time break.
